how to achieve a dewy glowing skin using makeup.

Glowing skin means fresh, young and healthy
looking, radiant skin.isnt that every woman’s dream?every woman wants a healthy looking skin, although with the harsh weather, a lot of women are afraid to wear this look because if applied wrongly, you may come out having a greasy and sticky skin. This look can be achieved using a bronzing powder to define and contour, adding highlighter to give light and luminosity and blush to improve your skin tone and adding a touch of colour.
A radiant skin is achieving the appropriate balance between matte and dewy, while the matte fever will never be deleted in the make up history, a natural Glowy look still works best in highlighting our features, moreso, illuminating the skin textures and tone.to achieve this look, one must be careful not to layer on too many shimmery product on the skin.this look is best for the evening and also a red carpet take.
Concealers-add radiance by applying a touch of brightening concealer.avoid putting too much so it doesn’t clog pores.brighten under eye areas but use a concealer that matches your skin tone to cover blemishes.
Foundation- creating the right balance using the right foundation or applying just mild amount of foundation will prevent an oily outcome.use a light weight foundation of tinted moisturiser to achieve a balance, this will give a sheer and dewy finish without looking greasy, oily or shiny.and if you have dry skin, concentrate on those areas.

  • Primers -primers are a great way to brighten and enhance the skin.it creates a soft dewy effect.

Blush-the blush makes us look young not leaving the face washed out. Use a cream blush to achieve this look.(a powder blush mattifies the skin).for dark

skin, its advices you use a bronzer or brown blush(cream).

illuminate-to achieve a perfect glow, use a mild or soft illuminator but when you are using a shimmery highlighting powder, make sure the rest of the skin isn’t shiny, particularly the T-zones.if your skin tends to get oily, keep highlighter to cheeks alone and use less shimmery textures.for dry skin, you can apply the highlighter to the top of your cheek bone, temples, bridge of the nose, chin and lip bow.

Lipstick -for this look, try a nude or light pink lipstick, remember, this look enhances your natural beauty,so you don’t want to look caked up.

Your makeup can last longer than you think...

Having your makeup stay alive and fresh all day can be a huge challenge, especially in the hot sunny months.i receive mails sometimes from ladies who complain about not wearing makeup on hot weather days because of how It smears off the face, making one look horrible .here is rescue for you. These are right tips and products to keep you fresh and have your makeup last all day.
Moisturisers:A moisturiser will not only plump and hydrate your skin and allow foundation to glide on smoothly but it will also help your makeup stay on longer.apply your moisturiser on a clean face.(use an oil free -non-greasy moisturiser).

Primers and mattifiers:these are products that prepare your skin for makeup by creating a protective base for the makeup to adhere to,making it last longer. They create a smooth base , control shine and absorb oil and therefore they are especially good for people with oily or combination skin. Eyeshadow primers not only make your makeup last longer, but also make the color look more intense and prevent smudging and creasing.

Foundations:(if you will wear a foundation)wear a thin layer of foundation on your face(preferably a light weight liquid foundation) this won’t cake your face.

Face powder: it sets the foundation, making it last longer, evens out your skin and conceals minor blemishes. In addition, it also prevents shine and gives skin a matte finish.(use a loose powder for a more subtle finish)note: a powder brush is perfect for application rather than the powder pad.as it lightly spreads evenly and effortlessly.

Lips:filling in lips with a lip liner or applying a layer of foundation or concealer on the lips before applying lipstick will make lipstick stay on longer. Another trick is to use a thin layer of loose powder on the lips after you applied the lipstick.this will give a long lasting finish.

Waterproof mascara:they don’t run nor smudge. Apply as desired,(preferably two or more coats).

Oil blotters:these tissues soak away excess shine and oil from your face without removing your makeup.leaving you fresh all day…

    My Lipstick and I

One of the most interesting conversations I have had with clients is about lipstick. Every woman who has ever sought out to purchase cosmetics knows the power and excitement that a new look can provide. The lipstick is an inexpensive thrill that can brighten any rainy day or lift any blurred mood.
Lipsticks come in all shades, textures, pigments, finishes, and formulas. So how do you know what is best for you? With so many brands and colors to choose from, here are.5 simple tips for flawless lips……
Create a visual.See a lip color that you like in a magazine or brochures and want to give it a try ? Rip the photo right out and keep it in your purse. That way when you are shopping for new lipstick you can be able to access the photo.

Play with the finish. You really don’t know what you prefer until you try it. Test sheer textures all the way to mattefinishes. See what feels best on your lips and find what would be most comparable to your daily makeup routine.

Experiment with color.Always wanted that marylyn Monroe look? Look at a few different shades of red from blue undertones to orange undertones. Find what looks best with your skin tone and the level of color you are most comfortable with. The same goes for all shades when looking for the right tone, from nude, pinks to berries and mauves.

Note that you can play two by turning a bold colored lip into a more sheer tone by applying just a small amount of your lipstick to the lips with your fingers, then,Apply a lip balm,or a tiny amount of lip gloss to give a little shine. This will create moisture and you have two great ways to wear one lip color!

Ask an expert.Makeup artists come with a wide range of knowledge when it comes to products and color. If you are shopping at a makeup store don’t be afraid to seek for a second opinion. You can always learn from the pros and walk away with a few new and exciting recommendations.

Exfoliate and condition.Once you’ve picked your favorite color, exfoliating and conditioning are the most important things to do when it comes to lips. Exfoliate the lips gently with a quality lip scrub, to get all the dead skin cells off. Then follow up with a conditioning and hydrating lip balm. This is best to do at night before bed.
DIYscrub:Take a small amount of olive oil ,then mix with white table sugar. stir to make a paste,Apply all over the lips in a scrubbing motion and rinse with warm water. finally, apply your lip balm to leave in moisture.
The most important tip of all,no matter the type or colour of lipstick you wear, always and always wear it with a smile. remember, happy girls are the prettiest girls…..

    15 TIMELESS HOT MAKEUP LOOKS

    SMOKY EYES
Give eye makeup a TLC, kind of appeal
by working in layers and smudging it
along the way. First up, creamy black
pencil—apply onto the lid, way up to the
crease and lower lashes. Soften the lower
lash line by smudging gently. Apply all
over again, this time with a black
    shadow, blend towards crease. Blend,
blend and blend. Apply shadow on lower
lash line to enhance. Then sweep brown
    shimmery or matte shadow (will
recommend matte) over the crease and
blend not beyond the crease (the more
blended it is with the black, the
    better).don’t forget to highlight your
    brow bone.
    AGLOSSY NUDE LIPS
There’s no simpler way to get a cute-
kittenish pout. Choose a nude that’s
slightly pink or flecked with shimmer
    (they’re the most flattering), and
concentrate the gloss on the centre of the
lip or top it up with a nude shimmer.

     DEWY SKIN
Fake a glow with powder highlighter: a
champagne shade if you have fair skin, a
golden tone for medium or olive skin, or
copper for dark skin. Dust it over your
cheekbones, and then dab some at the
inner corners of your eyes, on the centre
of your lids, and on the bow of your lips.
    This will accentuate those features.

    RED LIPS
The trick here is to pick a formula that
works for you. If you want a lipstick that
looks moist, (that’s sexy), but not super
    glossy. Look for lipsticks with
    “moisturizing,” “creamy,” or “butter” in
their names, and select one that has a
little brown in it. A matte red lipstick
also attracts attention. This power look
gives you total confidence but be sure to
apply it right.dont skip the lining.

    GOLD SHADOW
The key to making eyes glisten with gold:
Choose a shimmery shade. Spread a
layer or two of gold over the lid, blend
towards the crease, and don’t forget to
dab some at the inner corners of the
eyes. When it comes to adding liner to
the look, smudge over with a chocolate
brown liner. It looks way better than
    your usual black.

    FULL LASHES
Create the effect of huge Barbie doll eyes
by gluing on a strip lash before you layer
on the mascara. Grab each cluster at its
base with tweezers, dip the root in glue,
and allow to get tacky, and then place
just at the base of the upper lash .never
underestimate the power of the lashes.
They make a huge difference to your
    finished look.

    FLUSHED CHEEKS
We all know that a vibrant pink glow
radiates your entire look. What we don’t
all know is how to duplicate one
believably: First, brighten skin all over
    with a slightly shimmery foundation—
you can make it yourself by adding a few
drops of liquid or powder bronzer to
your normal base. Then rub rosy cream
blush on the apples of your cheeks and
blend it back along your cheekbones
using a blush brush — the heat of that
skin-on-skin contact will cause the blush
    to melt beautifully

    KOHL-RIMMED EYES
It’s the signature look of vixens and rock
goddesses, gothic if u says—and all it
takes is black liner and some subtle
    blending.
    1. Choose a waterproof pencil, so you
can darken even the inner rims. Run the
liner just inside the upper lids, then
close your eyes tightly—this will smudge
just the right amount of liner on the
    inner lids on the bottom.
    2. Trace the upper and lower lashes with
more black liner, and don’t worry about
    it being messy—your mistakes will
disappear once you start blending and
    blend well.
    3. Smudge the pencil outward with a
    dense eye-shadow brush —softening all
that black liner will create the illusion of
larger, deeper-set and power look eyes.
    BRONZED SKIN
The first trick to using bronzer: Choose
powder (it’s actually easier to apply than
cream), and be sure the shade is more
golden than brown and without a speck
of shimmer. Second trick: Swirl the
brush not just over your cheeks, but
along your hairline and jaw line and
down the bridge of the nose. Make it
look authentic by topping it with rosy
blush on the apples of the cheeks.
    WINGED LINER
Flicking liner just past the corners of
your eyes creates a flirty effect. For a
more dramatic take on the look, extend
the line just a quarter inch past the
corners and give it a soft curve upward.
To add an Arabian touch, double your
    winged liner if you dare.

    SOFT PEACH MAKEUP
Peach may not spring to mind when you'd
think “sexy,” but consider this: It
combines the warmth of bronzer with all
the innocence and ease of pink. The best
peach shades have hints of pink (when
you’re talking lipstick and blush) or
tones of brown (for eye shadow).it gives
a not so natural look but warm and
    subtle appeal.

    CONTOURED CHEEKS
If you weren’t born with sculpted cheeks,
you can get them if you so desire (trust
me,. First, sweep a matte powder blush
    or contour powder under your
cheekbones. (Suck in your cheeks like a
fish face to find the spot.) If you’re fair,
use a soft beige blush; for medium skin,
try a bronze shade; on dark skin, go with
a brown one. Then, blend a powder
    highlighter along your cheekbones—pick
one that nearly matches your natural
skin tone. You now have magnified
    sculpted cheeks.

    SHIMMERY BROWN SHADOW
Blended along the lids and under the
lower lashes, this spicy shade adds just
enough colours to enhance eyes, without
    screaming “I’m wearing makeup.” Stick
    with warm shades—think anything in
the toffee, caramel, or tobacco families.
For night, brush the colour over the lids
and up above the creases of the eyes.
    Then blend softly.

    HIGHLIGHTING
Makeup is all about enhancing our
natural look. In this light, we have
certain areas of our body we will love to
enhance. Our face plays a major part,
and to have that screen goddess look, it’s
    important we highlight these certain
areas using preferably a liquid concealer
,a shade or two lighter than our
foundation to achieve this look. Note
importantly to highlight your under eyes,
bridge of your nose, centre of your
forehead, your chin and bow of your
    mouth. See diagram to help…

    NO MAKEUP, MAKEUP LOOK
This sultry look endows anyone. Start by
using a tinted moisturiser.(this gives you
    natural coverage)dab on your
    translucent powder, groom your brows,
line your eyes lightly using a brown kohl
pencil or brown gel liner. Top on
mascara (the best way to achieve this
look is to apply a black mascara on your
top lash, then using a brown for therefore
lower lash) lastly apply your nude
lipstick or pull it off by dabbing on your
lips a tinted moisturiser or a foundation
colour same as your skin tone, then top
up with a little gloss at the centre of the
    lips.

The new bubbling trend; bubble nail art.

As we know, fashion or style is all about your personality.although alot of people tend to go with the trend, not afraid to express themselves.right or wrong...

I was surfing the internet and stumbled into this amazing nail art,a come back though and now trending.funny as it may seem.i love it. Short, curve bubble .the Bubble nails require building and
sculpting of the acrylic until you get the look
you want .You have to know
exactly where the curve is supposed to be, then
slowly build it. You start with a full amount of
acrylic in the middle of the nail, which is the
highest part of the curve. The nail has to be thin
at the cuticle, then it gradually gets thicker as it builds up getting to the middle of the nail plate. Then from
the middle of the nail plate it has to gradually
get thinner while building it towards the tip of the nail,The curve has to be smooth and perfect.its ball-like so i guess thats why its called the bubble nail....i will definately give it a try.
have you seen this nail style before? What do
you think of it? Is it popular in your area? Leave
    me a comment.

Love makeup?try the new highlighting technique.BAKING.

    Baking,before and after

The beauty world is growing really fast and becoming hot with new beauty techniques.
Times back,we experienced the highlighting and contouring art which was so hot and trending.now BAKING is the new trending technique.its almost same as highlighting but this time basically, a way to set foundation, most importantly the concealer into the skin to give it a lasting effect which will last all through the day without a TouchUp.
This trending art is being used by a lot of makeup artist most especially the popular celebrity Mua,Mario dedivanovic.Kim kardasians personal makeup artist.some people think this method is rather too harsh but I say its the best way to achieving a flawless, well sculpted look that will sit in for long hours. It doesn't have to be so intense.don't apply too much amount of product on skin.if you dare to try this technique, watch out for my tutorial.
